The Eclectika is excited to announce our upcoming materials focused show ' Matter, Made'! The juror for this exhibition is artist and educator Brooks Oliver. 'Mater, Made' is open to all artists over the age of 18 that reside in the DFW metroplex. Artists are welcome to submit up to 5 works for the juror's consideration. ABOUT THE SHOW:
'Matter, Made' is a material focused show, seeking works made in metal, ceramics, wood, textiles, glass, papers, or plastics. From functional to the ephemeral we want to see how you use matter to create, construct and craft contemporary art.
ABOUT THE JUROR:
Brooks Oliver is a ceramics instructor and Program Coordinator at the University of North Texas and a studio artist based out of Dallas, TX. He recently completed a long-term residency at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana. He received his MFA from The Pennsylvania State University, his BFA at Southern Methodist University, and completed his post baccalaureate studies at Syracuse University. He taught in Jindezhen, China in 2016 with West Virginia University and regularly teaches workshops in and out of university settings.

'EclectikAdemy 2026' is open to all artists over the age of 18 that are currently enrolled in college and reside in the state of Texas. Artists are welcome to submit up to 5 works in any medium for the juror's consideration. Submission fee for the show is $10, payable through our website. ABOUT THE JUROR
Jordan Funk is a photographic artist based in Denton, Texas. She received her BFA in photography from Texas Woman’s University in 2019 and earned her MFA in Photography and Related Media from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2021. She is currently in Cohort 5 of The Cedars Union Cohort program in Dallas, Texas, and teaches photography courses at Texas Woman’s University and UT Arlington.
